Psychiatrist and member of SASOP, Dr Melané van Zyl says the hallucinogenic properties of psilocybin carry substantial risks of harmful side-effects. Dr van Zyl says its safety and efficacy as a medical treatment has not yet been proven and could pose a major risk to people with depression or underlying mental health conditions...
