Last week the eThekwini Metro has been flagged by Kwazulu-Natal Premier Thami Ntuli as a hotspot for political killings. This followed the murder of eThekwini councilor Sibusiso Khwela who was gunned down in Klaarwater, west of Durban while assisting community members. Now that the election date has been proclaimed- election campaigning will begin in earnest - making the possibility of political tension even stronger.
