The latest data from the Central Energy Fund shows fuel recoveries have strengthened, pointing to deeper price cuts for both petrol and diesel. Analysts say easing tensions in the Middle East have helped push global oil prices lower in recent weeks. Petrol is currently showing an over-recovery of more than R2.80 a litre, while diesel could see reductions of up to R4.92 a litre. The anticipated cuts come as households and businesses continue to grapple with high living and transport costs.
