By Newsbreak Producer Matthew Veeran - The University of Pretoria's Department of Consumer and Food Sciences has launched "Beyond the Smoothie: Papaya Recipes for Every Occasion" - a comprehensive cookbook by Culinary Arts lecturer Dr. Hennie Fisher. Born from a lockdown project in 2020, the book re-imagines papaya (or paw paw) beyond its breakfast staple status, showcasing its versatility in everything from savoury cheesecakes and chicken wraps to even an innovative tiramisu.
