by Newsbreak Producer, Tashlan Naidoo - Parliament will soon begin impeachment hearings against President Cyril Ramaphosa following the Constitutional Court ruling in favour of the EFF regarding the Phala Phala farm theft. Chief Justice Mandisa Maya made the ruling this morning saying Parliament acted unlawfully in 2022 when it voted to reject an independent panel's report that had recommended an impeachment inquiry into President Cyril Ramaphosa. The EFF approached the apex court to request it to overturn Parliament's decision to block an impeachment inquiry against Ramaphosa. This relates to the theft of more than 500-thousand dollars at Ramaphosa's Phala Phala farm in Limpopo in February 2020. Newsbreak spoke to executive secretary of the Council for the Advancement of the South African Constitution (CASAC), Lawson Naidoo, who broke down what will happen next...

by Newsbreak Executive Producer, Salma Patel - Acting Western Cape Premier, Ivan Meyer, has met with with officials at the joint operations Centre in George today, to get an assessment of storm damage in the Garden Route and Little Karoo. Storms battered the area this week, bringing destruction to municipal infrastructure and homes. Farmers have also reported losses of livestock from the widespread flooding. One person was killed when a tree fell on her vehicle. However, SABC NEWS REPORTER Sagree Chetty says a new weather warning has been issued for coastal areas in the Western Cape.......
