by Newsbreak Producer, Taliesha Naidoo - Lifesaving South Africa is warning beach goers to ONLY swim where lifeguards are on duty. This after the body of a missing 17-year-old washed ashore on Sunday at the Umdloti beach in KwaZulu-Natal's north coast. It is understood that the teenager was swimming with three other people near a tidal pool at the same beach when they got into difficulty. Lifeguards managed to save his friends, but were unable to save the boy. Dhaya Sewduth - Director of Media at Lifesaving South Africa says beach conditions are unpredictable due to on shore winds and spring tides.
