#PODCAST KZN Premier Thamsanqa Ntuli responds to Newark family mass murder

By Newsbreak Producer, Shanell Daniel & Taliesha Naidoo - Three suspects accused of the brutal kidnapping and murder of seven family members in Newark, Mandeni - in KwaZulu-Natal will appear in court on Tuesday, 28th April. The suspects were expected to appear in court today, but the date was changed following an agreement between the KwaDukuza Magistrates Court and investigating officers. Newark construction company owner - Allan Monswamy - his wife, two children, as well as his wife's mother and two siblings were kidnapped during a break-in at their home on Tuesday night. The attackers tied them up and drove them 200 kilometres to Melmoth where they were shot and stabbed to death. One of the women was raped and money was withdrawn from the victims' bank accounts. An intensive investigation involving Newark police, KwaDukuza detectives and specialised provincial units led to the arrest of three suspects. Premier of KwaZulu-Natal, Honourable Thamsanqa Ntuli, is at the Monswamy family residence paying his respects to relatives and community members....
