KwaZulu-Natal health officials have held a workshop with some school principals in Durban, in the wake of a hand-foot-and-mouth disease outbreak. In just over a week, 117 cases were recorded at more than 10-day care centres and primary schools in the north of Durban. The KwaZulu-Natal Health Department says the disease is not uncommon, but that it's the first time that they have seen clusters of cases in schools and day care centres. Dries Liebenberg reports...
