Recent data reveals a historic low in democratic satisfaction among KZN residents, with only around 6% expressing confidence in the current state of democracy. As the big June registration weekend approaches, the commission is now tasked with rebuilding institutional trust in a region where over 20% of potential voters claim that no factor would motivate them to head to the polls.
