This as the South African Medical Research Council (SAMRC) and the Department of Environment have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to strengthen research into the health impacts of poor air quality. The collaboration aims to guide evidence-based policies, improve air quality monitoring, and protect vulnerable communities from pollution-related illnesses.
