The murder trial of private security bosses Ferrel and Darren Govender has heard explosive testimony from the State's first witness at the Durban High Court. The witness, whose identity cannot be revealed, claims he received multiple death threats from Ferrel Govender months before Durban businessman, Shailen Singh, was gunned down in uMhlanga in December 2024. The witness also alleged that he was intimidated by armed security personnel linked to Govender's company. The Govender brothers have pleaded not guilty to the charges against them.
