The updated strategy aims to improve freight movement while reducing traffic pressure in the Bluff, Bayhead and Durban South areas. Ward 66 Councillor Zoë Solomon says the plan could bring much-needed relief to communities affected by truck traffic. The strategy also aligns with the municipality's broader transport planning and includes a 2026 action plan. Officials say it identifies priority projects, funding mechanisms and partnerships needed to improve freight and logistics. The municipality now faces the challenge of turning the strategy into visible improvements on the ground.
