By Newsbreak Producer Tashlan Naidoo - Child protection advocates are concerned about the rising number of young people with compromised mental health. This comes as we observe Child Protection Week from the 25th of May to the 1st of June. This year's theme is "Working together in ending violence against children". Non-Profit Organisation, the Teddy Bear Foundation says they are noticing heightened levels of anxiety, depression and post-traumatic disorder in children as a result of either being victims of abuse or bearing witness to such acts in society. Director of the Foundation, Dr Shaheda Omar says should National Treasury continue to not prioritise abuse of children, this situation cannot be resolved...
