By Newsbreak Producer, Tashlan Naidoo - Activists and residents from various areas in the south of Durban including Chatsworth and Queensburgh are picketing outside the Department of Water and Sanitation in Durban. The picket is in protest of the ongoing water shortages, wastage due to leaking pipes and poor management of infrastructure. Picket representative, Desmond Kylas says thousands of liters of water is being wasted through burst pipes on a daily basis, while some community members do not have running water in their homes.
