By Newsbreak Producer Matthew Veeran - Durban will be the site of a fundraising event at the Barnyard Theatre, Suncoast on the 23rd of May - all in support of 14 talented music students embarking on a cultural and musical tour to Chennai, India. The students, under the guidance of Guru Deshan "Styler" Naidoo, who is celebrating 30 years in the music industry this year, have been selected for this once-in-a-lifetime 10 day journey to further develop their musical skills. Meanwhile, the 90's themed event this week aims to raise funds to assist these students with their travel expenses. Deshan began our discussion by looking back on how the trip was first conceived. He says he will also be honoured with a quite special award in India...
