Marcelle is in the country to perform in concert with his band members. Marcelle became a household name across the Caribbean region for his blend of Calypso and Chutney-Soca music. Calypso is a vibrant Afro-Caribbean genre originating in Trinidad and Tobago. Chutney is a genre that blends Hindustani and Bhojpuri folk music while Soca is an offshoot of calypso, with influences from Afro-Trinidadian and Indo-Trinidadian rhythms.
