By Newsbreak Senior Producer Taresh Harreeparshad - Advocate Ranjiv Nirghin was elected by the South African Hindu Maha Sabha council as the new head of the organisation at the weekend. This follows the death of Ashwin Trikamjee earlier this year. The Sabha constitution necessitated that the post could not stay vacant and as a result Adv. Nirghin was elected at a council meeting. Nirghin has served as the president of the Midlands Hindu Society previously. He says his new role in the Sabha gives him the opportunity to build unity in diversity...
