By Newsbreak Producer, Tracy Valaydham - The Gauteng High Court in Pretoria has ruled that former National Assembly speaker Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula's corruption trial will proceed.The court dismissed her application to have the charges against her dropped this morning. Last week, Mapisa-Nqakula's  lawyers argued that the State failed to prove its case against her. She is facing 12 counts of corruption and one of money laundering for allegedly soliciting bribes worth millions of Rands  from a contractor, Nombasa Ntsondwa-Ndhlovu between 2016 and 2019 when she was the Defence Minister. South African chef Bradley Joseph says heritage recipes are brought to life when they are cooked, tasted and shared. He highlights "chevra" (also known as chevro, chevda or chivda) - a snack mix that has been passed down through generations and has evolved in many South African households. From coconut shavings and cashew nuts to cornflakes and puffed rice, families have added their own local ingredients and flavours, making the snack uniquely their own.
