By Newsbreak Producer, Tracy Valaydham - The Gauteng High Court in Pretoria has ruled that former National Assembly speaker Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula's corruption trial will proceed.The court dismissed her application to have the charges against her dropped this morning. Last week, Mapisa-Nqakula's  lawyers argued that the State failed to prove its case against her. She is facing 12 counts of corruption and one of money laundering for allegedly soliciting bribes worth millions of Rands  from a contractor, Nombasa Ntsondwa-Ndhlovu between 2016 and 2019 when she was the Defence Minister. This is according to Craig Wilkinson – Founder and CEO of Father A Nation, a non-profit organisation focused on fatherhood, healthy masculinity and GBV prevention. He says the country's response needs to place greater emphasis on positive male role models who can teach boys healthy masculinity. This comes as government's latest GBV plan focuses on case-recovery, safety audits, forensics, and liquor laws. Wilkinson says that Government are more focused on treating the symptoms of GBV rather than preventing the violence before it starts...
