The debate about corporal punishment in correctional service rages on as experts says the practice will never work. This comes after Correctional Services Minister Pieter Groenewald called for a debate on using supervised corporal punishment as a means to reduce overcrowding of remand detainees. Speaking to Newsbreak Talk Min. Groenewald says these detainees are kept in far more inhumane conditions.
