This is long Shots, Vison's premiere golf betting podcasts. Here's Matt Brown, Wes Reynolds, and Kelly Bidlin. Hello and welcome to long Shots Golf Betting podcast here on the Vson Podcast Network. Matt Brown, Westernoal Kelly Bidlin coming to you. Hey, it's Tuesday, November the fifth. You got nothing else going on, you might as well listen to a golf podcast, right, no big deal. So hell, we're just gonna go ahead and handicap a golf tournament. You didn't know what was happening. It's a worldwide technology. And we're also going to let Wes talk about. We're gonna go around the world with Wes as well on this. So, I mean, Kelly, listen. It is in the heat of football season. The NBA just got going, College basketball just got going. We got college football rankings that are coming out. I understand people got a lot on their plate. We're gonna give them a few bets here and then we'll let them move on with their day.

Yeah.

We we took a week off too, And I don't even know how to do this anymore, Like do we have reeds or anything.

I don't even know. I don't think.

It's like you go in.

Yeah, it's like you gotta log it and then like we move on, like with with all of this, Look, it is the it is I.

Okay, let's go ahead and just preface this.

Wes handicaps you know, every major sport that is out there in the world, and Kelly is very big into the NBA. I spend an abnormal amount of hours digging into statistics in the NFL and all this. So golf this time of year definitely does kind of fall in the back burner a little bit, which is why we're gonna say, hey, look we're gonna have a few bets in the account. We're gonna have a little sweat going on. We did the research, we wanted to share it with you guys. But these tournaments, it's specifically this one where we have three players inside the top sixty or something west, isn't it something like that?

Yeah, we do.

You know, this thing could be won by quite literally half of this field, you know, and it is an easy tournament with on an easy course.

And we talk about this all the time.

The thing that separates golfers on the PGA Tour is the in the conditions because every one of these dudes are the best golfer you've ever seen in your whole life. If they pulled up next to you on your muni, they would you would sit there and your jaw would drop and like, because every single number are awesome. And so any one of these guys can go low this week. And so that's certainly reflected in my bets. I'll be interested to see if it is reflected a little bit, uh in y'all's bets as well. But let's let's go ahead and just kick it off, and you can tell everybody just about the course and and all of this. I will say, I tried to play this course last time that I was down in Cabo and it got rejected. They they said, uh, I tried to play this course last time, and.

I've got rejected like a credit card.

Because so it's it's it's like it's technically privately you have to be staying on property to play the horse.

But then you you you.

Can get there and they'll tell you like, oh no, you can play you like you come in, and then once you get there, you actually have to sit to a sales pitch. It's basically like a timeshare thing, like like you a sales pitch about buying property on the thing or whatever, and then and then they will let you then.

Still pay to play the course.

Like so it's like it's not like a, oh, it's a trade for the presentation.

Then get the opportunity to pay.

No, no, no, no, you have to.

Sit there the damn presentation and then you still have to pay to play the course. And I was like, no, no, no, you didn't get me there, No gotcha going on here, Like I'm out of here, I'm not doing this.

Can I do a quick interlude for the for a Vegas Traveling PSA.

If you ever think you've.

Got it down, you figured out the whole system, because you're gonna sit through one of these timeshare things and get some free hotel stays in Vegas.

It's never worth it. Don't ever do it. I had one friend do.

It once and I was like, you're the biggest idea in the plate, Like you're gonna be so miserably hungover to when you have to go to this four hour seminar.

You got to sit there. Don't don't do it, And of course.

You and then they take your personal information and they sell it to every other time, share place on the face of the planet, and you won't be getting calls and spam texts and emails for the rest of your life. There's our PSA here on the top, all right, West Worldwide Technology down in Mexico.

Yeah, El Cardinal at Diamante, the Dio Monte, Cabo San Lucas resort, by the way, southern tip.

Of Baja with California.

This, by the way, was Tiger Woods's first golf course design just inside Cabo San Lucas, so desert terrain, no real rough here. So these are wide fairways, by the way, and you know that's how Tiger wanted it to be designed.

Sixty yards wide, about the widest on.

Tour only Kapalua where they played the Century, the first tournament of the year every year on the Golf Cap PGA Tour calendar. Have wider fairways. You'll have some different elevations that drop throughout the course. There's a few flat holes and then there's some ascending holes and descending holes, but it's going to play pretty easy. Twenty seven under was the winner last year by Eric von Royan, averaged about three strokes under par per round greens are all so big, eighty three hundred square feet about eleven to twelve on the stamp. Second largest on the tour it is paspalum, which you see a lot in Mexico and in Puerto Rico, corrals Punticana and the Dominican Republic, so you get a lot of paspalum when you get south of the border. Every whole open front so you can run it on to the green, very similar to Vedanta Varte, I think, which hosts the Mexico Open. Remember this event used to be played at Maya Coba, this was the Mayacoba Golf Classic, but now Mayacoba, being a Greg Norman design, is of course part of the LIB schedule. So one hundred and twenty players this week, a lot of guys that are here for the FedEx Cup points because now you get that little race where you got to get inside that one twenty five if you want to be fully exempt for next year's twenty twenty five schedule. And then some guys are still trying to especially one or two notable players that I'll mention later in my selections that are trying to get into that fifty because they have this FedEx Cup fall standings that we're trying to get in that fifty so they can get in the first two elevated events next year.

Kelly, you look at the odds board and you can kind of see how the field shakes out because your short shot. It's Max Grazerman, Cam Young at eighteen, Doug gimm at twenty two, Matty Schmid at twenty two, Harry Hall, Harry English, Bo Hostler, Maverick Neely All sitting at twenty five, JJ Spawn, Ben Griffin, Lucas Glover at twenty eight, everybody else thirty or longer. These are the names we are used to betting at fifty sixty, seventy eighty, one hundred plus to one, and here they are down in you know, the teens and the twenties and things like that. So again, that just kind of gives you an idea of the strength of the field.

Yeah, it's pretty gross, And you know, the first passover it was one of those like, Okay, how many times can I actually bet JJ spawn this fall?

Like this is gross.

I just want to circle back real quick, real quick to the course. This is Matt said. One of the easiest Wes mentioned some of the fairway with numbers like.

This is I had to double check these. They're so absurd like easy, this like might be the easiest.

By far course on tour right now, which is we haven't seen enough of it to definitely say that.

I mean, we've only got one year of sample size here.

I mean that fair way with I mean west, we see there are courses that are played, many courses that we see on the tour that are half that size, that are half that size. The greens are massive like it is, Ye, there's not challenging, and then there's this. But yeah, so any of those dudes you just rattled off, Matt yep yep could win and you get to you get them at twenty to one and instead of fifty to one.

Yeah, so that's kind of where we're at with all of this boys for me from a modeling perspective, I mean sure, I mean we say approach is a you know, every single week deal, So yeah, sure, So I won't really spend much time on that. I'll tell you where I just decided to go super super heavy and just see if that changes anything for me.

I took birtier better percentage.

Birty are better gained opportunities gained driving distance and bogey avoidance and then just loaded up on that.

And that's about like how I did the model this week.

I did throw in a little bit of easy courses, a little bit of approach, putt a little obviously, like we said, approach is always on there. I did a little bit off the tea and all that, but like I wanted to really just go super heavy into the dudes that are long and score. And if you're long and you score, that is really all I care about this week, considering that again, not only the fairways massive, but even like the good drive percentages in like the eighties percent and stuff and whatever. So it's like everybody is going to be hitting these fairways, and so who scores, Like who goes and makes birdies? That's basically all I did in mind. I don't know Kelly, how you maybe went a little differently.

Yeah, I'm actually just thinking we probably don't take the time to just stop and explain some of this stuff real quick. But this is if you're listening to this, you probably aren't familiar with andy capping and betting golf. But for everything that Matt just talked about, it is really where he's profiled the course and then plugging with stats he think fits in. Okay, we what did we just talk about? It's gonna be easy. So he's looking at birdie or Betty's looking at opportunities gain guys that can put themselves in an approach to make it on approach to make a birdie or better. He talked about approach putting. Why is he talking about that? Because these are massive greens and guys might have some longer than usual putts. I use three putt avoidance as well.

West.

I'm guessing you we use the combination of those as well because of the big greens. What's one of the very few things this course has has going forward?

Of note?

It is the it is a long course, right, This is like fifteenth, sixteenth longest course on tour right now, super wide fairways don't really you know, don't really expect it.

To be a massive factor in it.

But yes, he's mentioning distance because distance is going to help with that long of a course.

So this is I hope these are the things that everybody when.

They listen for a week to week basis you can just take away when we are mentioning these stats. It is always a reason based off of which course that we're played each week, and those are the following.

Reasons for why he played the or use those steps.

Yeah, and by the ony thing else you added into your model that we didn't we.

Pretty much at everything part poor fives, Yes, I have that as well.

Yeah, poor fives. I used a little bit more strokesy and just pure putting that I usually do, but that was it. Otherwise you hit everything and and no.

Shot link data by the way from this event last year. So but you can still, I think, based on you know, all the characteristics of the course, can kind of lay out what's important here and a lot of it's been mentioned. The only thing off the tee I even somewhat put in was distance, just because this is a little bit of a longer course. If you if you put nothing in off the tee though, like you didn't do good drives gained or you didn't do total driving, like I totally understand that because it really didn't matter as much because of these wide fairways and because you really it's very hard to get in trouble off the fairway here. So large greens eighty one percent greens and regulation last year, so approach if you want to go proximity, I could certainly understand that birdier better. I used three put avoid and strokes, gained putting on puspalum, and then did a little bit of scrambling because the scrambling can be a little bit tricky around here. And then, of course, as Kelly mentioned par fives.

Yeah, I actually I actually left par fives out of mind because I think they're super easy, and so I I think every one of these guys is gonna be able to get at the par five. So I actually left that off of mine because I didn't want it to skew the the.

Stats with that.

But see, that's to all your people out there to say that we do the exact same thing in the models. Yeah, shove it all right, we don't, okay, I mean, like we have to. We we think of things differently. But yeah, I left par fives off because I think everybody in the field's gonna be able to get to these in two if they if they do it well, I mean, the one that's like six hundred yards plays downhill, so it doesn't like it's yeah it's six hundred yards, but it plays downhill. So everybody's gonna be driving at three thirty three forty three fifty off of the.

Tee on that one.

So yeah, I think that I think that there's gonna be kind of even.

The field out there on the par fives and stuff like that.

So all right, without further ado, so that we can get to the around the world with Wes Kelly fired off.

What made the card.

Three pack outrights for me? Yeah, we go, Maddy Schmid.

I'm gonna call him Wes's Maddy Schmid because I'm pretty sure he was betting him way before any of the rest of us.

We both were on him a couple of weeks ago when he like didn't win.

Yeah, he could have didn't win the Shiners.

Yeah, he was up there and it didn't win his fall.

Yeah.

T three the Shriners fifth at the Black Desert Championship. I'm gonna have to get used to that one. T sixteen Sanderson Farms.

He was pretty much my top rated guy this week last twelve rounds. If you look at that first strokes game total in the field, second off the te first in par fives, first and birdie, you're better third and stroke game putting. So I did I did with how easy this course is and kind of.

Like you said, Wes, I I think if you just looked at a coach and putting, they might just be that might just be the baseline good enough to get to get you home. So I did try to focus it on some guys that can actually make some putts. And you know that guy's like Keith Mitchell, who ate making putts for me. Ever, so Maddy's in the book in the account twenty nine to one, I got on him, but I think at twenty five thirty to I think anywhere in that range are good. I did play Harry Hall kind of same reasons. He is, you know, one of the guys we've seen kind of he struggles with some of his accuracy off the tea, but you know, big ass Fairways don't really have to worry about that as much. So another guy that can putt went to him at thirty two to one. He t thirteen at the Zozo T nine at the Shriners T thirty five, the Black Deserts, who has had some quality for him here through the fall as he's played as well. And then there was there's probably four or five guys I considered playing this week. I knew I wanted to go with a smaller card, and I was kind of just it was kind of throwing a throw a dart at who I wanted to add next, And then I pivoted, and then I said, no, no, no, let me take a step back and actually power rate where I think this field rates out to. And how the hell is Cameran Young not the favorite in this field from just.

Pure golf talent. So I bet I bet Cameron Young.

Because it's win equity is zero, Kelly, That's why that's fine.

And how many times has he had Mack Grazerman, Max Grazerman and who Doug gimm and stuff like that in front of him on the odds board? Not that, not that often. So I would rather take Cameron Young than one of those two guys.

He could maybe overpowered this place.

That was kind of my thought, Wes. And you know, good or bad.

He hasn't played in a while, which with how he ended out the summer, maybe a good thing.

So yeah, we'll get him back on.

The course actually playing some golf. Did take a flyer on Camery Young this week. So Cameron Young, Maddy Schmid, Harry Hall for.

Me, Wes, what'd you throw in your account.

Started off with Harris English at thirty three to one, who is just outside that top fifty to get into those signature events where where he historically he's very well at the Century and then of course out in California he's fifty third right now. He's won here in Mexico before with Mayacoba in twenty thirteen, two consecutive top tens could be peeking at the right time. And then another kind of older veteran player, Matt Coucher thirty five to one, who did win in Mexico five years or six years ago, rather at Miakob, but he's runner up to Von Royan last year on this very course.

Starting to make care if you're a caddy out there, yeah I know, yeah.

Yeah, don't.

I don't wager about how much he's gonna tip you. I'm if I bet this at the counter, I'd probably tip the ticket rider more than Matt Kocher would tip his caddy. But very good at the three M Open a few starts ago, was third the event that we won with Johnny Vegas. So Coocher I think can still compete in these type of events. Austin Eck wrote forty five to one. He's actually in the top fifty and in all the signature events next year. Has no reason to really be here, but he is here, which kind of maybe gets gets my radar up a little bit. Twenty third here last year after he missed five to six cuts and after he finished sixty eighth in the Zozo and seventy player field, so much better for him. Have a feeling he can go well, Daniel Berger. I'm going to give him another shot. He says he's finally healthy again. Was top ten at the Sanderson Farms, runner up on the Paspalum in Puerto Rico. He's also one twenty nine in the FedEx Cup Fall, so got to get in that one twenty five and got this event and two more events to do it. So he's in that boat. Henrik Norlander right now on the right side of the bubble at eighty to one, one twenty one in the FedEx Cup Fall. Three top elevens in his last nine starts. Always been pretty good in these, you know, kind of like alternate or Paspalum events. A couple top fifteens in Puerto Rico, fifteenth at Maya Coba, thirteenth at the Mexico Open earlier this year. And then I close it out with the triple digit guy Pearson Coodi, who I got here in town in one hundred and eleven or one hundred and ten rather to one one thirty in the FedEx Cup fall standing. So he needs a couple of good finishes. He actually won on a similar course in Panama on the corn Ferry Tour back in twenty twenty three.

So uh uh six for me that would be.

English coacher ecro Berger, Norlander Coody Pierson Cooty.

Is a Burger was a major consideration for me too. I'm almost jump back on the bandwagon this time. But but left it alone, left it alone.

Well, boys, I approached this a little bit differently. I went in and if your number was shorter than forty to one, get the hell out of here. I want nothing to do with you. I don't care. Everybody's gonna shoot good on this course, and so I don't. I'm not going to go in there, and I'm not going to pay. Don't shoot the tiny price. Yeah, I'm not getting a tiny return on these dudes that I used to get massive numbers on because of these other fields and in a feel where I think that we're going to have a ton of people go low get out of here if you were shorter than forty to one.

So I should start.

Making card looking at long shots, which which I had that in mind too.

Matt.

I was like, I probably should add one or two longer guys here, but I just just just looking at numbers. Nobody rated out that high for me, but long shots. It's name of the pod. Cut it for promos.

Log it, Patrick Fishburn, you love Fishburn.

He played him a couple times.

This fall eighth overall in my model. So and he starts the he starts the he barely makes the cut. He's about forty five to one out there, Patrick Fishburn. The only reason he is probably not like top three in my model is because he is seventy eighth in this field in approach putts.

But outside of that, he is third off the tee.

He is fourteenth birdy or better percentage, seventeenth bogie avoidance, twenty eighth driving distance.

He is twelfth thirty or better, gained, thirtieth in.

Opportunities gain you get the picture is just kind of across the board. This over the last thirty rounds is the sample size that I decided to use on this one. Ninth overall in my model, I'm Patrick Fishburn, Joe high Smith, Mister bucket Hat himself comes in at number nine overall in the model. He gets bet this week. Hayden Springer eleventh overall in the model. He gets bet again this week for me, as does Adam Smalley, as does Nick Hardy, and as does Carson Young, And that will complete the card for me this week. This is straight model plays. These guys are all inside the top sixteen in my model, and they are all longer. Not only are they longer than forty five to one, a lot of these guys are out there at seventy eighty ninety hundred hundred and fifty to one in the betting markets out there, and are inside the top twenty of the model.

This week.

For how I went again, I went heavy driving distance, heavy burdier, better percentage, birdier, better opportunity, and heavy on how they.

Play on easy courses.

And so that is the the strategy that I went with this week.

I am not saying one of these guys is going to win.

I am saying they have as good a chance as anybody else basically this week on of course, it's gonna play super super easy. So again Fishburne, high Smith, Springer, Smallie Hardy, and Carson Young not not the more popular young camera there in that one. So that's how I'm gonna go this week.

And again it's a it's a strategy, it's a choice for me.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's.

Kind of how I That's kind of how I went into breaking down this tournaments. Thought I was gonna play a lot of long shots and just couldn't find all that all that much to love. But uh, high Smith was interesting to me. I got close to pulling the trigger on him.

Man.

I just went down to the Oddsbourn just pointing out some of these guys we just don't check in on that often. I feel like it was all like a couple months ago that I felt like I heard a lot of Kelly Craft beats.

Going around out there.

He's two hundred to one in this tournament. Taylor Montgomery, what happened to that guy? Yeah, he's had a lot of injuries from what I hear, so always a really good putter, but just the ball striking hasn't been there.

Yeah, Grossier Grosier just pulled it up, all.

Right, So we got those bets. Those will be logged over at Visa dot com. If you haven't already got a pro subscription, go ahead, be sure and do that, log it and let's go to Let's go to West here for around the world.

Yeah, Abu Dhabi Championship this week, just the penultimate event until the finale for the race to Dubai, which of course is in Dubai. They're at the Earth Course at Jeremiah Golf of States. You've got nine of the world's top fifty actually here, which is light years a better field than we just talked about in Mexico. Seventy players overall, and then the top fifty move on to Dubai. Now, some of the guys that are in those point standings, by the way, if you check those are not in this field this week, Like I know, Billy Horssechel not playing this week, John Rahm not playing this week. So there are several guys that are up there that are not going to head and playing this week. But you do still have a very good field and it is headlined by Rory McElroy at I think about five to one on market average. He's likely, by the way, gonna win the Race to Dubai title. He's got like a sixteen hundred point lead. It would take a miracle for him not to so he's gonna win the overall title. But these are individual events, so he's five to one to win the event. And then Terrell Hatton about plus six fifty, Tommy Fleetwood nine to one, Joaque Neeman twelve to one, Shane Lowry sixteen to one, and then a few other names are here. This is at Yos Links, by the way, in Abu Dhabi, not the same course that they used to play the Abu Dabu Championship on. They moved to this venue in twenty twenty two par seventy two seventy four to twenty five. Kyle Phillips design Think Kings Barns, which is in that Alfred Dunhill Links rotation. So yeah, relatively relatively scorable course, I would say. I think the winning score here was eighteen under by Victor Perez actually hit that one a couple of years ago. Another thing to keep, Yeah, Victor Perez, the Frenchman man with the with the Spanish name. But anyway, anyway, I digress another thing to look at too this week, which I put in my calmn that'll be up at vison dot com. The top ten players on these raced Dubai rankings that aren't otherwise exempt get PGA Tour cards for the next season. So there's still a lot to play for here. Like there's a couple like Cherston Lawrence and Rasmus Hoyguard Mattel Montaserro, Nicholas Norgard, they're gonna have cards, so they're not gonna get passed in the points. But you got some bubble guys Jordan Smith, Guido Migliazzi, Romaine long As, Tom mckibbon, Shorburn Olison kind of right there. So there's still a lot of positioning for those particular spots to be full fledged members of the PGA Tour next season.

I like it. I like it.

Kelly, Kelly, are we gonna uh are we gonna just pick.

A name here? Baby?

Do you want do you want to know?

The rabbit hole I went down was uh I don't know why I think about these things, but it's.

Later at night for me.

Okay, Uh, West said penultimate, and I was like, you know what, what's What's that means second to last?

Is there a word for third to last? Do you guys know what it is? There is? And do you know what it is?

Uh?

Try ultimate? I just guessing.

Oh, you know, you're actually kind of close triumphant. No, no, no, no, okay, you have this is kind of this is mind blowing. Actually, all right, you have penultimate antipenultimate means third to last. Okay, fourth to last. This is I kind of don't believe what I'm reading right now. Pre anti penultimate, fifth to last.

No one's ever said that fifth. No one's ever said.

That, Matt, fifth to last, pro preanti antipenultimate. So there's a pro and a pre prefix on no.

No one's ever said any of those things. I don't, I don't. I don't care that they technically may exist. No one's ever said any of those, so they.

They just kept adding little prefixes on doing too. It's the same day it work.

Yeah, I'm not I'm not. I'm not doing that. I'm going with I'm going with Johannes Veerman.

That's mine, and and an American player actually that that plays over here.

So Matt for sure.

Yeah, I've bet him a couple of times. He's actually come close a couple of times on this tour. I mean it was either him or Honk Khar Sharma.

But Wes has bet him like sixteen times this year.

Yeah, but I went, I went a little bit more conventional with the guys I played this week with a small field, you know, didn't want to play more in a handful.

Uh So I not only played.

Yeah, yeah, I was gonna say.

One of my guys, I not only were the odds, what was the odds? You picked on the same range?

Yeah, okay, Johannes Vereman is sixty five, so you can oh, yeah, I'm that range.

Okay.

Sorry to West and the audience. I needed to know that while he was going through his place.

Go ahead, West, Yes, we get two Hooy guards for the price of one. To start out the card this week, Rasmus at twenty two to one and Nikolai at forty five to one. Rasmus very good in the Middle East Swing earlier this season, was runner up at ross Alheima to start the season and then you know, plate played some PGA Tour events and you know, didn't really didn't really take but he's only missed one cutt in his last twelve starts, four top fives. He did, by the way, chase down Rordy McElroy at the Irish Open. Rory kind of let him back in and Rasmus was able to take advantage. His PGA Tour card locked up for next season, So I think he's just going to focus on playing good golf his approach game. By the way, he and Tommy Fleet would over the last six months for DP World Tour Members number one on approach. He was also third at Bernards where the KLM Open and the Netherlands is hell. That's another Kyle Phillips design, so I think fits the nicely. And then we'll go to Nikolai, a twin brother at forty five. This is a guy ended last year won the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai which is next week's event, and then started with the T seven and Dubai Desert Classic, and then finished runner up and the Farmers Insurance Open, which essentially led him to keeping his card for next year, and then except for a top seventy at the Olympic Games. Really fell off this year, did not play well for most of his PGA Tour events. But now he's come back and starting to kind of put it together. He needs a good week. He's only sixty seventh in the race to Dubai standing, so you got to get in that top fifty if he wants to defend that title. Also, he is fifty fifth in the OWGR, the Official World Golf Ranking. So one of the criteria for a Master's invitation is if you're in the top fifty in those rankings and you're not otherwise exempt where you've won a major or another tournament, whatever their criteria is, if you're in that top fifty, you get a trip to the Masters and get an automatic invitation. So you know, keep an eye on those world rankings for some of these guys. Tenth here last year in this event, but he led the field strokes getting tee to green and also was second for off the tee. So both hoy guards and why not make it a third dain my whole card are not daines, but three or the four are Chior Born Ollison at twenty eight to one, who I've had success with over the years. He was the one that beat Rasmus actually at ross Alheima earlier this year, and then he was disappointing on the PGA Tour, but then since he came back to Europe, I had him actually when he was runner up to Dan Bradberry at the Open de France and then t seven in Spain at the Andalusian Masters. He is right now in the twelfth spot. You got to be in the top ten on those Race to Dubai rankings, not exempt to get those PGA Tour cards, So big week here for Thunderbar. If he can go ahead and win this, that would pretty much lock up a card. And then a guy that I haven't met a lot this year because there hadn't been a lot of opportunities to bet him because he's gone on to the Live Tour, Adrian moronk at fifty five to one. He was twenty five to one in Dubai earlier this year, and he was one shot short of taking down Rory McElroy at the Dubai Desert Classic. And that's an event, by the way, Rory's won four times, like he dominates that event pretty much every year.

And if he doesn't win, he's second or third.

He was outside the top.

Forty in the OWGR earlier this year. Now he's falling right at one hundred, and he's been out of side, out of mind because he's been playing live, and you know, I don't think he's really taken to it necessarily.

So he's always played well in the Middle East, and.

I was looking up kind of his form in these Middle Eate East events, especially in the UAE the United Arab Emirates. He has nine top tens and fifteen starts in the UAE. So this is a guy price drifted a little bit people have forgotten about him that I think could show up well. And he's a pretty big hitter off the tee too, so he should he I think he should strike the ball really well.

Here, Kelly, did you get your Did you get your player?

Yeah? I got my player.

Fifty dollars head to head matchup, I'll go same odds Julian.

Gurrier who actually beat me, Kelly.

That is a smoret spot for me because remember remember what we were talking about in our text exchange a couple of weeks ago, where I had my Indiana University Brethren Jorge Compillow lost in that's who he lost to Julian Gurier, who is thirty nine now. He was a former amateur champion, by the way, the amateur championship called the British Amateur, which is an equivalent to the US Amateur. Former amateur champion, who was supposed to be a star and it just never really won on the big European tour. But he finally got it at the Andalucian Masters. He beat my man, Joorge Compio on the ninth playoff hole.

So that really gets.

You going on an NFL Sunday when you're sweating a playffor you're like, oh, man, I'm gonna cast like a fifty five sixty to one year on Jorge Compio and then it loses. It's like, yeah, I'm really excited about this NFL guard.

Now, man, that's blew it all.

But the good news is it sounds like I picked the right guy. That's that's That's what I'm getting from that. So yeah, I mean that what do we do the last time around, because we and you kept track of it for like a day and then we like forgot.

About I won. My guy won.

Yeah, I got I got action on it, right, No, my got top twenty that event. Really yeah, so like yeah, so I'm one up on you.

Yeah, we gotta put like something on this. Twenty bucks? I don't know.

All right, we got we got twenty bucks on it.

Okay, I'll throw in you can have Dylan for Telly too, for free, have him, you know, for he's five hundred to one to win the tournament.

So no, I don't want that. I don't want that.

I don't want any excuses coming if Dylan for Telly beat here.

I guess Dylan. I guess Dylan for Telly has not been playing his best golf.

Like when Dylan for Telly and uh Julian or or would uh yeah yeah, when uh, when there's a withdraw here. I don't want to hear any complaining with when our two guys would draw Dylan's left. I don't want to hear any plays take him out of the picture.

Dylan for Telly, by the way, a teammate of Jordan Spief on the Texas National Championship team back in twenty oh eight. He's actually won three times on the European now DP World Tour. Also won the John Deere back in July of twenty nineteen. But yeah, if this is a guy it's won four events on the big tours and he's five hundred one.

Something's going on.

So THI was the last time he's won, though.

Earlier this year actually in February and February at Bahrain at the Bahrain Championship he won by two shots.

I mean, for tellis he announced that he's going to play with one of those like like rubber tipped putt putt putters or.

Something like that. That's like maybe he's doing that.

Is he using per Simmon Woods or what is it?

Yeah, so he's five hundred to one because he's announced that I'm going to go to uh, I'm gonna go to a putt putt putter for for this for this event, because like, yeah, five hundred one is just it's wild. For a guy that actually has at least a tiny bit of pedigree, he totally done.

Like That's what I'm kind of more like what happened to Dylan for Tilly, he's only thirty four years old, Like I don't.

He played PGA Tour tournaments for a long time.

I mean, if he if he tops ten top tens the event, it's twenty two to one for him, so like, yeah, that's that's craziness, guys.
