A Hampstead man will spend the next two decades in prison after a violent domestic assault left a woman with life-threatening injuries.

ICE has deported Melbin Ramos-Orellana, a Honduran national who was convicted of sexually assaulting a woman against her will. 

The Howard County Council has passed two emergency bills aimed at curbing federal immigration enforcement in the county.
