In this episode of Living Strong, sponsored by the Sun City West Christian Church, the message explores what it means for believers to be "salt and light" in modern society. Drawing parallels from the biblical account of Daniel in Babylon, this episode tackles faith, cultural pressure, and the importance of civic engagement and voting.

Key Takeaways

Being Salt and Light: Just as salt preserves and enhances flavor, and light reveals reality, believers are called to stand out and let their good works shine in the world.

Resisting Cultural Conforming: Using the example of Daniel and his friends, believers are encouraged to stand firm in God's moral law rather than conforming to the pressures of secular culture.

The Importance of Civic Duty: The message emphasizes the biblical call to pray for leaders, practice peaceful standpoints, and exercise the right to vote in alignment with God's principles.

SCW CHRISTIAN CHURCH (SCWCC) was established December 12, 1991, under the leadership of First Christian Church of Sun City. The present church sanctuary was built in February 1997, and underwent an expansion in 2011.
SCWCC has always been a spiritual storehouse in the West Valley of the Phoenix area, where the Bible is taught as God’s inspired and ever-relevant Word to man. It is a non-denominational fellowship of Christians from different religious backgrounds who have found a common acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord.
