Live Music Bendigo 3 January 2026

Sam Edmonds (Earth Cadet) stepped in to co-host with Brett for another chock-full show. As well as the first spin for the new Earth Cadet track the team also featured the new single for Bendigo hip hop artist C.O.D Also there to hear the new music were LMB debutants Louise MacGregor and Sam Pollock before they headed to Preston for a gig. We heard about their multiple projects and Lou's French artist residency in 2025. Then Melbourne based muso Joel Havea dropped in with his guitar and a couple of fantastic live tracks before heading to his gig at The Old Church on the Hill. And Barnaby was so impressed with the show content that he also popped in as well.

Angus and Brett are joined by the Hiphopportunities for Youth crew with their Third Rail Studio program which in December released their debut album Traktion. Performing tracks from the album live in the studio were Lochdown, C.O.D. and Lighter Liam. And the team also chatted with Mike and Jai and multi-talented artist Spxncxr. And then the team chatted briefly with the newest member of the team, Shirene who is putting together video clips of the live performances in the Phoenix FM studios.

Andy and Keith are joined in the studio by Phoenix FM's own Mick Coates before heading north for 12 months or so. Mick told a few stories and brought his guitar in for a few live tracks. Then the team were joined by Melbourne's BUDD who were on their way to Trash Cult for a sold-out gig. The team also played some music from acts around the region this weekend.
