In this episode, Laxmi is in conversation with poet, composer, and singer-songwriter Sameer Rahat. Uncovering the origin story of Aamad, they talk about a novel genre of music called the "Urdu Blues" that Sameer practices and various influences on his life right from his parents' poet Anjum Rehbar and poet-lyricist Rahat Indori to Jaun Elia to contemporary soundscapes of rock and film music. They also discuss the influence of Urdu on pop culture as well as indie cultures today and trace the consequences of the same on the language, form, and culture itself.

BONUS: Sameer reads two Ghazals in this episode!
