THE LETTER Guest BRIAN MHLANGA & REITUMETSE MTHEMBU
Dear Mapaseka
I'm struggling in my relationship with a modern woman who has a checklist
of expectations, mostly related to money and material things. She has a "I
am the prize; mentality, which I find unattractive. I come from a background where my parents worked together and showed unity, and I want the same partnership in my future marriage.
Both my parents worked respectively but my father would always go out of his way to spoil my very appreciative mother. I want to do the same. I feel like she's more of a liability than a supportive partner. Should I address this behaviour or walk away? Currently, I'm leaning towards the latter.
Please advise. Sincerely,
PHENYO
