Standard Bank Joy of Jazz GP Welcome Live Crossings

Dear Mapaseka
My husband refuses to share his payslip with me; he says there is no need for us to know each others
earnings. But he already has a sense of how much i make because i do not hide my finances from him
And tell him what I am able to do and what I can't afford. We have 2 kids both under 5 years old; i am trying
To plan their schooling from primary to high school so I can get a sense of what the costs are.
I ask him what his ideal school fees budget is for the kids, he does not give me a clear answer.
I would like for us to move to a 5 bedroom house, we currently live in a 3 bedroom apartment.
He says he can't afford it for now. He just bought himself a range rover without consulting me and i
wondered how he could afford that car and yet can't afford a new home. He said it is a second hand buy.
He books first class tickets for flights when we travel as a family, he pays for the bond, pays for medical aid,
We share the costs for groceries and the kids' creche fees. He gives money to his mom and pays for his
Brother’s tertiary fees. When i demanded once again to know his salary he says i want to police him and
Manage the money he shares with his family. Ausi Mapaseka; is it not my right as a wife to have a say
In all of this? Should i not have a say in how much he sends home and how much he is planning for our
Future? At this point I want to go through his laptop and phone and find out all this information myself.
We have been married for 2 years and dating for 6 years. When we were dating i did not mind not knowing
But now that we are married I think it's only fair. Is it not?
