Dear Mapaseka I am a father to a daughter who is 4 years old. I have been staying with my daughter For the entire time and have been on the street to make a living for her. Her mother left us to be with another man. I was unemployed. I have temporary jobs; I worked at a tavern for us to survive. Whilst I was hustling at the tavern her mother came back and we never got a chance to fix the relationship, we had just continued on for the sake of our daughter. She then demanded money from me; money I did not have. Then a month later she asked for space from the relationship and I've allowed her to go with open arms. Now I have a job and have been working for 8 months and I asked to pay lobola for the child, she agreed. But now the problem is; she wants to bring the present boyfriend with her. To accompany her to come fetch the child from my home and so I've declined her request as I felt disrespected. Our agreement was to meet each other where i live as the child lives with neck problems and under medication. Basically she's not in a stable health condition. She now says I must not send my uncle to come over for the lobola payment, because I refused to give my daughter to her whilst she is with her boyfriend. I don't want my child to suffer. When our daughter was with her she got sick and was admitted to the ICU. Please kindly advise me on this matter. How should i best move forward?

Spring Day celebrations turned tragic in Refilwe, Cullinan Tshwane, a 21-year-old was killed during an altercation over a water-splashing prank A group of young people poured water on passing pedestrians. Dear Mapaseka, I have been married for 7 years, my wife and I have 2 children; a 3 and 2 year old. I have an amazing wife, she is supportive, a great mom even though she likes to get things to Happen her own way A lot of the time. She tends to prioritise her studies and career over time With me especially as her husband. I almost feel neglected at time and i try not to complain as it Comes As if I don't appreciate her other contributions. The major issue Mapaseka is that there is Little intimacy taking place in our marriage, when were were dating we were always with each Together and prioritising alone time. 2 weeks go by without sex and she sees nothing wrong with it At all. We have spoken about it, she thinks I'm being selfish and that she has young kids, work, School, her friends and family seem to make her happier than i do cause all i want is sex Apparantley. 3 times or twice a week i think should be doable; some movie time and going out once a month. I'm really unhappy in this marriage because of this. How do i convince her to see my point.

Her father was a farmworker and her mother used to make and sell mogodu. At a young age She would assist her mother selling the mogudu. They eventually moved to Soweto as a family From Rustenburg. She studied IT, becoming an IT Executive in Corporate until the Entrepreneurial Bug hit.

How Do We Rebuild Our Broken Families? What is causing the breakdown.

Dear Mapaseka I started dating this lady in 2021 whilst she was working temporarily as a nurse during the covid years. Her contract came to an end and she moved in with me in 2022. In 2023 we got married and she was blessed with a permanent job.Then came the problem; she refused to discuss any financial decisions with me as her husband. I am working as a security guard and she is a nurse. I always do my best in ensuring that I communicate with her when it comes to my finances and other aspects. She in return says we must each control our own finances and all decisions pertaining to money should be separate.
