Animals evolved and flourished in nature for millions of years.  In less than 50 years, they have adapted to urban settings in ways that epidemiologists are still puzzling out.  Cities and urban sprawl have changed animals forever, leaving us with a question, what can humans learn from the paths animals have taken to coexist with us?

Joining us today to discuss this peculiar topic is Dan Werb, an award winning writer and epidemiologist Dan Werb who looks at the wild creatures who thrive in metropolises in a new book called, OUR WILD FAMILIARS: How Animals Are Adapting to Cities and Reshaping the Natural World.
