Is the Quran really preserved? A Nov. 6th facebook post by Al Fadi discusses this question. The Samarqand MSS is among the earliest manuscripts dating to the 8th century. Yet the word Allah in Q 2:283 is not found in this MSS. He compares Q 2:283 in the: 1. Samarqand MSS. 2. The Cairo 1924 Quran 3. The English translation of the Quran. He poses the question; How can muslims claim that the Quran is Preserved and without any change?
