Over the past 6 weeks there has been several incidents and safety observations conducted that have identified the below hazards and non-conformances;
 Warehouse roller doors have not been fully opened causing forklift operators to drive the mast into the roller doors.
Truck drivers not completing the hitch and unhitch procedure correctly causing trailers to drop to the ground.
Vehicles speeding through the yard.
Forklift operators not sounding horns when entering / exiting warehouse door ways.

The safety observation campaign will focus on these key areas to ensure the issues are on the forefront of everyone’s mind, in turn preventing employees being injured and property damage across the business.

Safety Observation 4 Key Focus Areas
Warehouse roller doors MUST be fully opened when the warehouse is in operation.
Truck drivers MUST ensure they follow the ACFS hitch and unhitch procedure for connecting trailers onto the prime mover.
All vehicles MUST comply with the site speed limits.
Forklift operators MUST sound the horn when entering / exiting warehouse door ways.
