Day 13 proving to be lucky for Australia, with TWO GOLD

View descriptionShare

While day 13 might be unlucky for some, like the Boomers, but it’s proven to be Australia’s day, with two more gold medals to add to our tally

another gold for Australia in the men’s 1000m doubles canoe sprint - congratulations to Tom Green and Jean Van der Westhuyzen!

And 18yo Keegan Palmer gave Australia its 17th gold medal in the skateboarding final.

But in terms of inspiring events, the whole of Australia is bursting with pride for Peter Bol!

So much so, more than 3.05 million people tuned in to watch his race - to put that in perspective, that’s 329% more than the people who watched the same event at the Rio Olympics

He may have come 4th, but I think as Aussies, we like to champion all of our athletes, and for Peter, it’s no different.
