We were wrong about LSU — and January finally forced the conversation.

After back-to-back SEC losses, LSU’s flaws came fully into focus. We break down what went wrong against Kentucky and Vanderbilt, why the warning signs were always there, and what Kim Mulkey’s brutally honest postgame comments reveal about this team’s toughness, discipline, and ceiling in conference play. From turnovers to late-game execution, LSU’s January slide raises real questions about whether this roster can survive the SEC gauntlet without the edge they once had.

But LSU isn’t the only storyline.

This episode covers a wild week across women’s college basketball, including:

Kentucky and Vanderbilt proving they’re for real

Mikayla Blakes continuing her rise as one of the most electric players in the country

Iowa State’s unbeaten run ending and the blueprint for slowing Audi Crooks

Jada Williams responding to defensive disrespect

Baylor adjustments, clutch guard play, and second-half momentum swings

UCLA dismantling USC and why the Trojans simply aren’t there yet

South Carolina surviving Florida and the growing concerns about offensive consistency

A blunt film-based breakdown of where South Carolina can be attacked defensively

Texas looming as a nightmare matchup in the SEC

Stock up / stock down on Player of the Year contenders including Sarah Strong, Azzi Fudd, Lauren Betts, Madison Booker, Rori Harmon, Hannah Hidalgo, Olivia Miles, and Flau’jae Johnson

We also shift to the pro side, unpacking the latest WNBA CBA leak, the league’s disputed $700 million loss claims, expansion fee math, and why public reactions to women asking for more money continue to expose deep-rooted misogyny in sports discourse. If you’re confused by the numbers — or tired of bad-faith arguments — we walk through the logic plainly.

Finally, we close with a look at Unrivaled as it tips off, early storylines to watch, player availability updates, and why this league is positioned to generate some of the most compelling moments of the season.

January doesn’t lie. Vibes fade. Film tells the truth.
And women’s basketball just gave us a lot to talk about.
