Leland Conway is on a mission to uncover the truth behind the Louisville Metro Sewer District's (MSD) questionable spending practices. In this episode, he's joined by Councilman Anthony Piagentini, who's been a vocal critic of MSD's actions. Together, they dive into the findings of a recent audit that reveals some shocking details about the district's management.

The conversation centers around MSD's excessive spending, including a whopping $6 million in bonuses to employees for doing their jobs, vehicle stipends for senior executive staff that amount to $14,000 to $16,000 per year, and a lack of transparency in their procurement practices. The duo also discusses the district's charitable giving, specifically a $500,000 donation to the Louisville Water Foundation, where some MSD executives sit on the board. They question whether this is a case of money laundering and whether MSD is using taxpayer dollars to fund their own salaries and perks.

Councilman Piagentini shares his concerns about the district's management and the need for greater accountability. He explains that MSD's actions are not only wasteful but also unfair to taxpayers who are already paying high rates for sewer services. Leland and Anthony discuss the importance of scrutinizing MSD's spending and ensuring that taxpayer dollars are being used efficiently.

If you're as frustrated as Leland and Anthony about MSD's actions, tune in to this episode to hear the full conversation and learn more about the issues at hand. They'll be discussing the audit's findings, the implications for taxpayers, and what needs to be done to bring about change.
