Leland Conway is back with a thought-provoking discussion on the homelessness crisis in Louisville, Kentucky. He shares his personal experiences working with homeless individuals in San Diego and highlights the need for a more effective approach to addressing the issue. This episode is a must-listen for anyone interested in understanding the complexities of homelessness and the potential solutions that could make a real difference.

The speaker delves into the WDRB investigative story on whether there are fewer homeless people in Louisville or if they're just hiding. He argues that the answer is both, and that the state law passed in 2024 has led to a decrease in visible homelessness, but not necessarily a decrease in the number of people in crisis. Leland also shares his own experiences working with homeless individuals in San Diego, where he found that many people were choosing to be homeless due to their addiction or mental health issues.

The conversation touches on the idea that the homelessness industry has become a lucrative business, with many organizations profiting from the problem rather than working to solve it. Leland proposes a three-door approach to addressing homelessness: jail, help, or get out. He argues that this approach would give individuals a choice and provide a path forward for those who are willing to take it.

If you're interested in learning more about Leland's three-door approach and how it could make a real difference in addressing the homelessness crisis, tune in to this episode to hear his thought-provoking discussion.
