- Angus Hincksman, Paralympic athlete and World Championships medalist, has just broken the world record for the T38 class in the m1500.
- Ross McMullin, author; speaker and historian; shared his research about war and ANZAC day
- Christina Ryan, Founder and CEO for the Disability Leadership Institute, discussed its roles; advocacy work; and opportunities for organasations, and governmens at all levels to have professional and valuable connections from people with lived experience of disability.
- Resident Councellor, Pam Mitchell, reflected on ANZAC day.
- Belle Owen, from Purple Orange paid tribute to the Late Dr Ellen Fraser-Barbour. Ellen was an outstanding Advocate and Researcher, who sadly passed away earlier this week.
- Dr Lesley Andrew, Senior Lecturer and Course Co-ordinator for Nursing at Edith Cowan University, is the Author of a report highlighted the need for dedicated disability education in undergraduate nursing programs to prepare future nurses.
- Megan Long, artist, and Bethany Ashly-Ward, Visual Artist co-ordinator from Tutti, invited all to “Hot, Soft, Strong” a free exhibition at the Artspace Gallery on level one of the Festival Centre Plaza, until 24th May
