What happens when you refuse to let a disability decide the size of your dreams?

At just 25, Alex “Lexxi” Pasqualli is a master’s student, motivational speaker, content creator, parasport advocate and athlete. Born with the rare genetic condition Diastrophic Dysplasia, Lexxi has navigated a world that hasn’t always been designed with disability in mind, while building an impressive list of achievements along the way.

From graduating Cum Laude and making the Dean’s List throughout her undergraduate studies, to serving as Chairperson of UCT Parasports and completing her first Two Oceans half marathon, Lexxi continues to challenge perceptions of what people with disabilities can achieve.

We spoke to Alex about her journey, resilience, education, sport, accessibility and the importance of not allowing other people’s expectations to define your potential.
