Morry Frenkel speaks with Tanya Gerstle, artistic director of the OpticNerve Performance Group and director of the Melbourne Shakespeare Company’s production of Othello, about the Pulse technique - her improvisational performance strategy that has been used by actors and directors to develop original text-based performance material - and its use in Shakespeare’s play. Tanya also talks about the cast of this production.
