PA President Abbas compared Israeli rhetoric to that of Goebbels; demanded Israel be suspended from the UN if it does not grant Palestinians a state and a “right of return” for millions of refugees; insisting that Israel had agreed to these steps in 1947 in order to join the UN and denied Jewish biblical ties to the Temple Mount. Abbas denied Zionist claims that Israel had made the desert bloom, as if Palestine was a desert and they had made the desert bloom. He claimed that Britain and the United States had colluded in the Balfour Declaration and had the chutzpah to give a country “they didn’t own to one that didn’t deserve”.
