She tells us how privileged and life changing the MOTL experience first in Poland with Holocaust survivors and then in Israel was, and how it was the ultimate triumph of life and goodness over death and evil. Freya tells us that the importance of remembering and education is critical. Upon arriving in Israel for the second week of MOTL, the delegation was taken straight to the South to witness the October 7 devastation, which Freya finds difficult to describe, an "apocalyptic scene".  Freya featured recently on the Josh Frydenberg documentary “Never Again - The Fight Against Antisemitism”, and tells us about the very hostile state of affairs at our universities, with the pro-Palestinian students wanting to create fear and intimidate the silent majority of supportive students for Israel and Jewish community into silence, so that any support for Israel is crushed with Zionists and Jews not welcome on university campuses. Leading the mission, we hear from Ramona about the mission's visit to the October 7 devastated communities in Israel's south and to the Nova Festival massacre site, needless to say totally impactful along with the mission's visit to new Hostages Square in Tel Aviv, meeting and speaking with family members of the 134 hostages still in Gaza captivity. The mission met with leaders, communities and Israelis from all walks of life, who have united and come together to support each other and Israel through yet another threatening existential war that Israel must defend and prosecute for its continued survival and that of the Jewish people.&nbsp; The very important experience and messages that Ramona and the youth leaders returned to Australia with are that we as Jews in Australia who are also now in a war, a war of anti-Semitism, are to be standing tall and proud as Jews and Zionists in support and advocating for Israel. Before entering politics, Tim was a policy director at the Institute of Public Affairs (IPA) and served as Australia's Human Rights Commissioner. He contends that the current Australian Federal and State Labor Governments are failing the Australian Jewish Community, and as such are failing Australia. Tim believes Australia is at a crossroad and that the result of the next Federal election will define the Australian society of the future.
