We hear from Heidi and Rowan who captured Jack's testimony on film with many recordings before he passed away November 2025 age 97; how after rehabilitation Jack moved to Australia in 1949, resurrecting and having a happy life with much purpose, with his wife, daughter, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jack - B488, his concentration number tattooed on his forearm, received his OAM for services to the Sydney Jewish Museum, where after initially being apprehensive, volunteered at the Museum for decades right up until he passed away, turning his survival into a lesson for others, with his sensitive and inspiring testimony having a special effect and impact on the thousands whom he shared his story with, in the same spot every Thursday at the Museum. As we lose the final generation of survivors, first hand Holocaust survivor testimony is disappearing quickly. Heidi and Rowan, independent filmmakers are now in the heavy lifting phase of post-production, where editing, sourcing archival footage from international collections and creating animations to bring Jack's memories of life in their short documentary.
