Recently there have been two separate instances of big celebrity news involving fatness: Pop icon Lizzo was "fat-shamed" (at least according to some people), and secondly Adele's apparent weight loss was celebrated by many. Naturally, celebrating weight loss was also deemed to be problematic by an increasingly large group of body-positivity activists. With America at its fattest point in history, health and nutrition need to be discussed more than ever, but these activists don't have an appetite for such discussion. Nonetheless, Lauren weighs in.
