Dolores Huerta: Labor Rights Leader, Dancing Queen and Humble Diva

Dolores Huerta has died at age 96. She was a powerful leader who shaped the labor rights movement and stayed out late to dance and chat with young people, even in her 80s. For decades, she had been a constant voice on this show, speaking on behalf of farmworkers. In this episode, we look back at her legacy and our host, Maria Hinojosa, who knew her personally, reflects on how Dolores marked her life. We also remember her last interview with Latino USA, when she revealed what happened after she was abused by activist Cesar Chavez.

Latino USA is the longest-running news and culture radio program in the U.S., centering Latino stories and hosted by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Maria Hinojosa.
