Mabel Frias started her career working for major companies including Macy’s, Nordstrom and Rihanna’s Savage x Fenty. But in 2019 she and her sister launched Luna Magic, a makeup line where  Latinas could see their culture celebrated. They even beat out 40,000 applicants to make an appearance on Shark Tank. Luna Magic is now carried at major retail stores such as Target, Walmart and CVS. In this episode, Mabel shares with us how her and her sister brought their vision to life, and how her Abuela’s botanica inspired it all.

Her YouTube channel has received notoriety from outlets such as HuffPo, Perez Hilton, LA Weekly, Upworthy and was a finalist for the Sundance YouTube New Voices Lab. She is also a creative producer at Studio Luna, formerly known as Teatro Luna in Boyle Heights.

She is also a co-producer of an Audible Original titled Talking While Female & Other Dangerous Acts that features 25 stories from Latinas across the U.S. on the themes of risk and resilience.
