Talarico Claims It's "JIM CROW" All Over Again. Here's What He LEFT Out.

View descriptionShare

Larry revisits Texas Senate Democratic nominee James Talarico's rough week courting black voters, starting with a fiery town hall confrontation from a woman angry that he beat Jasmine Crockett in the primary. From there it gets worse: at a second forum, Talarico is asked point blank if he supports reparations and an "anti-black crime bill," and responds with promises of tuition relief, homeownership grants, and baby bonds — while invoking his Christian faith. Larry argues that's not what reparations means to the voters demanding it, then digs into Talarico's contradictions on policing (claiming law enforcement is "weaponized" against black communities while defending his record against defunding it), his push for the stalled George Floyd Act, and his closing pitch on gerrymandering, the Supreme Court, and the Voting Rights Act. The takeaway: a candidate scrambling to shore up a base that's still furious he isn't Crockett.
