J.B. Pritzker just revealed the number-one item on his presidential agenda — and it has nothing to do with making your life better.

The governor of Illinois sat down with the New York Times to announce what Democrats are calling "Project 2029." The centerpiece: criminally prosecuting Trump administration officials and federal agents once Democrats retake the White House. Not the economy. Not crime. Not inflation. Jailing political opponents. The NYT host responded with what can only be described as barely concealed enthusiasm.

This is the same man who told a national interviewer that Chicago's murder rate had been "cut in half" on his watch — while Chicago ranked first in violent crime per 100,000 people among major U.S. cities, ahead of Philadelphia, Houston, Dallas, Los Angeles, and New York. He also quietly changed Illinois law to require that any lawsuit against his state government be filed in Cook County — a jurisdiction with a well-documented relationship with the political class that runs it.

While Pritzker was busy mapping out political prosecution plans, Senator Mike Lee called the Senate's bluff. He brought a unanimous consent vote on voter ID — a measure 80% of Americans support, and one multiple Democrats had publicly claimed to back. Democrats blocked it. Hours earlier, Nancy Pelosi had gone on CNN to promise that a Democratic majority would take the "partisanship" out of Washington. She tore up a State of the Union speech on national television. But sure — less partisan.

When J.B. Pritzker talks about locking up Trump and prosecuting his administration, understand who he's really talking about. MAGA Republicans in the latest polling show 100% approval of Donald Trump. That's not an attack on one man. That's an attack on all of us.
