Rediscovering a Biblical Worldview

WHAT IS A WORLDVIEW? A worldview is a comprehensive perspective of the world from a specific standpoint. It determines how we view the world around us, and interpret what's happening in it.

HOW IS A WORLDVIEW DEVELOPED?(By answering)

1. Where do we come and why are we here?
2. What is wrong in the world?
3. What can be done to fix what is wrong?

3 COMPETING WORLDVIEW WE SEE TODAY

Naturalistic Worldview- Emphasizes nature and experience. Discounts the notion of God and divine providence. The only truth is evidence-based knowledge.

Secular Humanistic Worldview- Fully dismisses the notion of God or anything supernatural. Instead, the emphasis is on human existence and experience, rational thinking, and scientific study.

Biblical Worldview- Looks at all of life based upon 4 Biblical premises: Creation by God, fall of man, redemption through Jesus, and consummation in Heaven
