2 Types of Covenants
1. Parity: Binding agreement between two equal parties (2 Kings, 2 Tribes, 2 Individuals, etc).
2. Suzerainty: Unilateral agreement that is offered by a ruler to a subject.

Theophany: A visible manifestation of God.
1. Exodus 3:2 - Burning bush
2. Exodus 13:21 - Pillar of fire in the desert
3. Exodus 19:18 - God's presence on Mt. Sinai
4. Ezekiel 1:27; 8:2 - Fire from the waist down
Christophany: A pre-incarnate appearance of Jesus as mankind's representative

1. Christ purchased our new covenant with God through His blood.
2. Christ seals our new covenant with God with His resurrected life.
3. Christ sustains our new covenant with God as our mediator.
