3 Keys from Galatians 3:13-14
1. I am redeemed from the curse of the law.
2. I have the blessing of Abraham.
3. I have received the promised Spirit.

Promise
Contains 2 parts: Refers the both WHAT God promised and THE ASSURANCE that the "promised things" will be done.
 
General Promises vs. Specific Promises
General: Broad categorical commitments given by God to every believer in every age. No limitations on recipients or time period. (ex. Phil 4:6-7)
Specific: Detailed, personal commitments made to specific people on specific occasions. (ex. 1 Kings 9:5) 

3 Guiding Principles Regarding God's Promises
1. God's promises are sometimes conditional.
2. God's promises are designed, in part, to help us submit to His will and to trust Him.
3. We can't presume to know when, where or how God's promises will be fulfilled in our lives.
