The woman accused of helping two inmates escape from a Philadelphia prison last year pleaded guilty on Wednesday in a negotiated deal with prosecutors.
Xianni Stalling will spend 11 ½ to 23 months in jail after pleading guilty to escape, conspiracy, hindering apprehension and related offenses. The 22-year-old has been in jail since her arrest. Prosecutors said she aided in the escape of Nasir Grant and Ameen Hurst in May 2023 from the Philadelphia Industrial Correctional Center. Their escape led authorities on a 10-day manhunt. Stalling was one of four people accused of helping the pair. Grant pleaded guilty last month to similar charges and will be sentenced in August. He also remains behind bars. A hearing for the other four defendants is scheduled for next month.
