The U.S. government has awarded $176 million to Moderna to develop its bird flu vaccine.

But it's not the only company working on a vaccine, and federal health officials are now debating whether to give farm workers shots beginning later this month. There are growing concerns about those workers after a multi-state outbreak in dairy cows. Three workers have been infected since March.
